Nice Flash Websites

Lately I have managed to get a copy of Flash CS4 at work and as I have not used Flash in a while I thought I would see how much I could remember.  CS4 isnt massively different from previous versions so it was pretty easy to get back into the flow of it.  Shame I have no reason to use it at work tho.

I started looking around at companies which produce products I wear/consume on a regular basis.  No point making a list of the best sites that people see every day there are plenty of site that do that.  So here are a few different sites you might not have seen before.

CONVERSE.com

Converse.com is a full flash e commerce site with a street look.  As soon as it loads you see a slider which dominates the site with recent products.  Hover over the navigation and you will be given options from a drop down menu which appears from behind the header and makes the rest of the site fade out. Very simple to navigate around, which is always good on a flash site.

BAUER.com

Bauer have been around since 1927 and famous for there ice skates.  They have taken over the Hockey industry with the Supreme and Vapor Range.  I swear by bauer and have owned vapors and supremes and I would never use anything else.  Not many people in the UK have even looked at this site but it is very nice.

GATORADE.com

If you have been to the US or Canada you would have since this in stores in fridges, you might have been attracted by the insane colors this energy drink comes in.  When I travel out there this is usual in my hand.  (you can get it in the UK in 500ml and limited flavours.  UK make this drink boring.)  It has so much sugar in you properly don’t need to eat anything this will keep you going.  Nice rich black site make the colors stand out even more, products are on a slider which come to life when you mouse over them, click on a product and you get a true sport theme which each.  The one pictured is a movie on MJ and a few of his moves…

POWERADE.com

Powerade is a much like Gatorade but you might have seen this more in shops.  Again the UK have dulled down this product and limited the bottle sizes and flavours.  It shows the ingredients it contains in the priodic table logos with main menu and MM.  Its also a rich black site which makes the colors pop main red.

DRPEPPER.com

Another drink with a nice site, so much to click on and do on this site.  you might be surprised that Dr Pepper comes in flavours…but we don’t get them in the UK.

JACKASTORS.com

I have mentioned this on my website http://www.iamkreative.co.uk/about.html. Jack astors is a bar in Canada which makes awesome wings.  I thought I would have a look at it and its quite a nice flash site.  On the home page you can choose an item from the menu and feed it to the cartoon.  hover over the navigation located in the top right and the character plays dress up.  This site isnt perfect for a bar/resturant as you have to download the menu each time, but the fun theme it has is nice.

I feed him hot wings!

So theres my list of Flash sites which are in my everyday life.  Also theres Nike.com and Addidas.com which also have nice flash site but thats not me so I didnt include them.

One last thing can someone tell me why the Designers from the US are addicted to Flash?
