Close up of a kidney tranplant

So its 6 days since my transplant and today is my 1st full day at home.  It all went pretty smoothly and my dad and I had no complications.

Im really happy its over but its just a waiting game now to see if FSGS comes back in the new kidney.  Just got to cope with a bit of pain and early mornings 3 times a week.

I have had all my restrictions dropped which included 500ml max of fluid per day which is now min of 2000ml, if you have ever been restricted to such little for so long you will know how hard it is to drink so much.  I have put on 5kg in a week.

Since being on dialysis in june I have struggled with free time, I didnt realise how much time it actually took up, now i havent been in a week and im loving it, so much time to do what you want.  I wouldnt say I hated dialysis looking at it overal just more of an interuption to my life. Also its great to have the tubes out of my chest makes me a bit more normal now.  I was quite lucky because I had my ipod laptop and things to learn which kept me busy.

At St georges hospital i realised there are some really lazy people in this world, im not talking the typical lazy im talking seriously lazy, for example there were people who are to lazy to get out of bed to go to the toilet so they just do it in there own clothes and bed, they know that the nurses will have to clean them.  It was disgusting, when it happens 3 times in about 2 hours in a unventilated room its not nice.  Also I thought hospitals were places to get better but i dont think he NHS has worked that out, 6 hours sleep each night max is terrible.  Im not going to slate them to much mainly becasue they fixed me up good.  just dont put able people with a bunch of retards!

I will be posting a few pictures soon so keep checking back.
