Over the past 6 months I have been battling FSGS, its a condition where an antibody in your blood destroys your filters. When your kidneys dont work you face many problems. Your legs swell up becasue your kidneys dont get rid of the fluid so it just drains through your kidneys and into your legs. Also you poison yourself by eating, all the toxins in your food build up in your blood and eventual take you down. You feel tired and sick alot. My FSGS was caught really late, so they had to put a neck line in so I could go on dialysis and the blood could be cleaned.
I have now had my transplant thanks to my dad so I thought I would build a site to show everyone what went on. Hope it gives you some idea of what i have been through.

I hope you are doing well now. I too am waiting for a transplant. I have a different kind of disease. It is called Polycystic Kidney Disease. It also destroys the filtering system of your kidneys with cysts. The kidneys grow to enormous size and sometimes have to be removed before transplant. I hope you will soon be back to your old self.

That is great I had my 1st transplant 23 years ago and then I did get to see the video of the sugery but not the pictures like this.I will need a transplant again sometime in the future because the NS came back in the transplanted kidney but for now better life through chemistry. When I have my next one this would be a really good idea, right now I am building a web-site selling clothes under my Kidney Kid logo to raise money for Nephcure to help fund research.

I found this website through extensive googling on a problem that we have in common: I am an avid snowboarder. Currently I use makeshift pads to protect my transplant but there are very uncomfortable and are prone to shifting. I was wondering what you had learned about custom padding? Please let me know.
